The Far North

A wonderful few days in the far north with Julie and Douglas helping Douglas collect some more Corbetts. They stayed in B&Bs and we campervanned nearby. It worked very well. We climbed Ben Loyal and Cul Beag with the classic walk in between, out to Sandwood Bay. This route meant driving some of the best sections of the NC500 between Tongue and Ullapool and we were lucky enough to be doing this in ridiculously good weather, and before the summer crowds and midges arrive. The drive between Altnaharra and Tongue wasn't too shabby either. Terrific walks, great company and a very memorable trip, proving that a two-berth campervan trip can be made to work well with four.
